An octopus envisions the outcome of FIFA world cup finals
He sends half the spectators home in tears
And does well to add a little more color
To beliefs and superstitions
Inside and outside the shorelines of South Africa
A heat wave passes in North America
People on vacation are trapped indoors like prisoners
Pedestrians are blessed by air conditioned stores
Those with only ceiling fans in their dwelling
Are yet to receive enormous electric bills
Of all time
There are earthquakes in three or four cities
Both stricken areas and nearby towns
Are affected extraordinarily
Paramedics worldwide are needed immediately
Over in South America, Australia
And everywhere in between
Just above the Himalayas
A volcanic eruption occurs
The ash remains in the skies
Above the mountains
But the repercussions indubitably
Remain universal
Expensive and poor homes alike
Are raided by armed robbers
A teen who is said to be the culprit
Is freed from jail at the moment
Evidence has it that
The crime occurred at the exact time
His last Facebook status update
Was made
Any day I step out
I recite a prayer at the breakfast table
Any time I come back
I recite a prayer at the dinner table
The current state of affairs
Always seems to keep my mind a-wondering
Where are the idyllic days?
Regardless, I am ever thankful
That my body is in one whole piece
Still!
And my eyes, ready to slumber
Yet!
In the serenity of my heart
At the dining table at night
Each time I sit and feast

..this piece sounds like 'around the world in 60secs'. Lots go on in this our world, and the master cometh quickly.
